How other organizations debate

The founding of the Toronto Debating Society was inspired by the Worlds, (World Universities Debating Championship). Our debating style is a bit more relaxed.

Intelligence Squared (British) are the original, although now IQ² exists in the US and Australia, among other locations. These debates can be watched via live streaming, or sometimes broadcast on public television. There are also extensive archives available.

Logical Fallacies

Many years ago, Glen Whitman created a debate website. His page on Logical Fallacies and the Art of Debate is still a classic.
