Tuesday Literary Club
TLC is where there is a meeting of minds, where voices are seldom quiet. Every other Tuesday from October to March the Tuesday Literary Club carries on the tradition begun in 1909 of “letting the unskilled learn and the learned improve their recollections.”
In a light hearted but professional environment, this group whose members are diverse both in business background and in their general interests improve their public speaking and ability to manage meetings while learning from one another by sharing in this common forum.
The Tuesday Literary Club is open to everyone but primarily serves residents of the Greater Toronto Region. We invite anyone interested in commenting on our website or attending one of our meetings to contact us by clicking on the “contact us” link.

“We are very enthusiastic about debating, being another level of public speaking. Convincing people of your point of view has always been an essential part of our lives, within both personal, and business environments.
“Being in business, we understand the effects that a polished speaker can have in the business world. The more polished, the more aware, the more you are able to listen, the more you are able to respond to clients concerns and enquiries. From here, it is a logical conclusion that you will be more able to outpace your competitors.
“The Toronto Debating Society helps and encourages all it’s members to achieve these abilities, and to improve their speaking and persuading techniques.
“Anyone who enjoys words, thought processes and persuasion, will enjoy all aspects of this club. We are sure you will too – just come to a meeting and find out.”
